Would you like to awaken your inner source of creativity? Perhaps you have experienced a creative “block” or believe you are “not a creative person”? We can hold a lot of tension in our physical body due to trauma, stress and lifestyle, these blockages can prevent our creative energy from flowing.
This workshop aims to create space in your physical body, bringing stillness to the thinking mind and awareness to other areas, allowing freedom and inspiration to flow through. The class will include guided movement practice with music, prompts to respond to, and space to improvise and collaborate with movement and paint. Everyone will leave the session with a hand painted canvas to take home and remind you of the journey.
Accessibility – no experience necessary, the class will be held up one small flight of stairs, so you must be able to climb the staircase
What to bring? Old comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting paint on, and an open mind.
About the facilitator: Hazel Watson
I love to share my passion for yoga, art, and wellbeing with community. I am a qualified and experienced teacher of Art & Design and a Hatha Yoga & Meditation teacher. I aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment, so that no matter your level of experience, everyone can benefit from the gifts of somatic movement and creativity.
